About Me

Hi, I’m Eszter Schmidt, an illustrator and animation student with a passion for storytelling through characters and environments.
I studied Illustration at the University of Hertfordshire, where I developed my interest in children’s illustration, character design, and world-building through visual storytelling. My work often focuses on expressive characters, playful narratives, and imaginative environments that invite viewers into small, magical moments.
I am currently studying 3D Character and Creature Animation on a Master’s course at the University of Hertfordshire. Through this programme, I’m expanding my practice into animation, exploring how characters move, behave, and communicate personality through motion.
This portfolio documents my creative journey into animation — sharing my studies, experiments, and progress as I develop new skills in character and creature performance.
